Location

Eco TourismWe are very fortunate to have world class sailing right in our backyard. Serendipity Charters sails out of the Potrero Bay. Because of the unique topography of the bay, we enjoy flat water nearly all year round. The depth of the ocean and the islands create a natural barrier to larger waves, which creates for flatter waters. In addition, we are blessed with the famous Papagayo Winds which occur from Dec.-Mar allowing for excellent sailing.

Eco TourismThe area North of the bay is not over developed which allows Serendipity Charters to find beautiful and uncrowded bays to anchor in, white sand beaches to explore and plenty of reef to snorkel.

The area is rich with exotic plant and wildlife, and to the east, a string of volcanic mountain ranges boarder the Province. There are hotels to fit all types and budgets and plenty of restaurants from international cuisine to local “sodas” (typical Costa Rican cafes). Flamingo is a peaceful and gorgeous area. However, Tamarindo, which is a livelier scen, complete with night life is only 20 minutes away. Playa Grande is also 20 minutes away, famous for its turtle sanctuary and world-class waves.
